Here's a sneak preview into our first Maternity session. Nicki's posted her pics on the Red Apple blog already. I'll post mine tomorrow!

L'amore per la pizza
I'll be the first to admit I absolutely love pizza. I could probably eat it every day. I'm a thin crust lover, and even more so a true Napoletano lover, so Punch is right up my ally. Erin posted great review of it, and many other restaurants on here blog We got Served
In other news Nikon fixed my image sensor in a jiffy (it wasn't really a major problem, but was a real pain in the ass on several occasions. We did our first maternity shoot on Saturday. I'll post some results tomorrow, but Nicki has already posted some here

Emotion
John Moore/Getty Images
Mary McHugh visited the grave of her fiancé, Sgt. James J. Regan, who was killed in Iraq in February. He is buried in the new Section 60 of Arlington National Cemetery for those killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
I think that photography is my preferred form of art for a few reasons. 1) I think I'm actually decent at it. 2) More importantly, pictures can really move me emotionally. There was a beautiful anti-war exhibit when I was in Paris 3 years ago and I just walked around crying at every picture I saw. I'd totally forgotten about it until I saw this picture that was posted in the NYTimes. I hate war...
I will try to keep politics out of my blogosphere, but I will just say that I am very anti-war, and consider myself a pacifist to the core. This image presents one of the many reasons why I think people killing other people is really, really dumb.
cross-post
Okay, I realize I should probably post this on the redappleimages blog, but I already posted Jamie's wedding pictures, and I came across this picture this weekend, and I'm sick of my film pictures. They're starting to bore me. Anyway, here's a little wedding action, since I'm on a posting role.
In GREAT news, Cameta is sending me my camera back, and I should have it by Friday. FABULOUS! Until then, I bought some more film to take pictures tomorrow.

Puddle shots
I really admire the puddle work that the Uptown Mpls Blog takes and got inspired. It was fairly windy that day, and not many puddles with good reflections were to be had. I do like the way this one turned out though.
EDIT: upon further review, i might like it better in B&W. What do you think?

Old Grain Belt Building
I can only imagine how much I would love working in a beautiful building like this.
I was using my wide-angle lens which DX, aka, you can't really get full use out of it on film, or with an FX camera (ie, the lovely new D3) which no one has presented me with, as of yet. If you're interested just leave a comment and I'll send you my address :)

kinda disappointing
So, I'm going to be without my dearest D200 for a little bit. To give it a fond 3-week repair fare-well (the negative affects of buying a refurbished camera) I thought I would actually take a picture specifically for the moment. This is the fence that surrounds the Knight Caps patio. I'm kinda sad that we aren't going to live directly across the street anymore, but I guess 1.2 miles isn't so far away

Punch Pizza Peels
some pictures of the house we put an offer on:
i hate the ceiling, linolium, and color, but i love how big the space is. I'm thinking a stainless range hood, double oven, stainless everything else, bamboo flooring and an island with the sink and range.
Ha!
UPDATE: And for synergy sake, my new profile picture was taken by the lovely Erin of We Got Served, an adventure food blog in the the twin cities.
